We had so much fun at our first Art Night! We just wanted to take the opportunity to thank you all for coming out and making last night a success. Here’s a little summary of what happened.
We began our evening by singing songs. Then we split into two groups, an older group which participated in an art lesson and a younger group that worked at the craft station.
During the art lesson, the oldest group used paint markers to explore lettering and patterns. They used these techniques to decorate the covers of their new sketchbooks. At the craft station, the youngest group decorated their own aquariums! In the coming weeks, they’ll make more aquatic creatures to put in their aquariums.
During Bible time, we spent some time getting to know each other and discussing what we know about God, Jesus, and ourselves. Throughout the next several months, we’ll explore what the bible teaches about these three subjects. Most importantly, through these lessons we’ll learn about the good news of salvation that God offers us all!
After the Bible lesson, we enjoyed a snack together. If you have friends who you think would be interested in joining us at Art Night next week, feel free to invite them! It’s not too late to join!
