What is it?

Sports & Bible nights are an occasion for us to serve our communities by hosting a weekly event for kids free of charge. This is an opportunity for families to connect and for kids to make new friends. Along with the games and physical activity, kids learn important life lessons from the Bible.

When is it?

It runs weekly on Thursday nights from October 12 to April 11. The time of the event is 6:30 PM - 8:00 PM.

Where is it?

Gymnasium of the Queen Elizabeth Public School, 689 St. Laurent Blvd, Ottawa.

Who is it for?

Gym night is open to kids ages 8-15. Younger kids may attend on a case-by-case basis, but may not participate in separate sports activities because of safety concerns. Please contact us directly if you have a younger child. You MUST register your child with a form before they can attend this event.

What happens during a typical session?

Each session includes a variety of sports and cooperative games followed by a short message (15 minutes) and a snack.

What is taught during the Bible time?

Each lesson presents a story or a principle from the Bible in an age-appropriate way.  We present the good news of the gospel, along with stories and teachings of Jesus as we find them in the four gospels.

Who runs the program?

Volunteers associated with the Ottawa Gospel Hall will run the activities and lessons. Those working directly with children must undergo screening (including vulnerable sector criminal record check) and certification through the Plan to Protect program.
