Come Unto Me — Finding Rest in Christ

We live in a restless world. Our hearts search endlessly for satisfaction, yet possessions, pleasures, and even relationships never seem to fill the void. Jesus Christ, however, extends an invitation unlike any other: “Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest” (Matthew 11:28).
This simple word—come—is God’s call to sinners weighed down by guilt, unrest, and sin. It speaks of grace, of a Saviour willing to receive the weary and grant peace. The cost was great: Christ suffered on the cross, bearing our sins, and rose again the third day. His invitation is personal, present, and urgent.
Rest is not found in the world’s promises but in Christ alone. He satisfies the conscience, brings peace with God, and offers eternal security. The choice belongs to every soul—either to accept His invitation or to remain in unrest forever.
