In Luke 10, Jesus told the story of the Good Samaritan — a parable that still speaks powerfully today. The words that change everything are found in verse 33: “And when he saw him, he had compassion.”
This was more than just a story about neighbours. It was a glimpse of the heart of Christ. The Saviour sees you — not just your life and circumstances, but your soul, your sin, and your need of salvation. He sees the damage sin has done, and yet He also sees the incredible value of your soul.
“And when he saw him, he had compassion.” (Luke 10:33)
At the cross, we see just how far that compassion went. Christ shed His blood so that sinners could be cleansed and pardoned. He took the punishment so that you could receive the pardon.
Watch the full message below and consider this question: have you seen yourself as the dying sinner, and have you seen Christ as the only Saviour?
