Who We Are
Gathering in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ
Ottawa Gospel Hall is a local church of Christians who gather in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ at 1087 North River Road.
We meet together to worship God, study the Bible, and to preach the gospel — the good news that the Lord Jesus Christ came into the world to save sinners. Our desire is to follow the teaching of the Bible and to encourage people of all ages to know Christ and grow in their understanding of God’s Word.
The name “Gospel Hall” simply reflects our emphasis on gathering as a local church and sharing the gospel of Jesus Christ. Ottawa Gospel Hall is an independent, non-denominational Christian congregation.
Christians have gathered in the River Road area of Ottawa for many decades, practicing this simple pattern of New Testament Christianity. We are an independent local church with no denominational headquarters, guided solely by the Scriptures and by the Lord Jesus Christ, who is the risen Head of the church.

Several core convictions shape our meetings, our teaching, and our life together as a local church.
The Bible
We believe the Bible is the inspired Word of God and our only authority for faith and life. All of our teaching and practice is tested against Scripture.
Christ at the Centre
We gather in His name and seek to honour the Lord Jesus Christ as the Head of the church in all that we do. He is central to our worship and our life together.
The Gospel
We are committed to clearly preaching the message of salvation through Christ — that Jesus died for our sins, was buried, and rose again, and that forgiveness and eternal life are freely offered to all who believe.
Children and Families
We believe the spiritual instruction of children and families is an important responsibility. Our outreach programs reflect our commitment to serving the next generation.
The Gospel We Preach
The heart of everything we teach
The central message of the Bible is the gospel: that the Lord Jesus Christ died for sins, was buried, and rose again. This message remains the heart of our preaching and teaching.
We believe that every person must personally come to recognize their need before God as a sinner and trust in the Lord Jesus Christ as their Saviour. Through His death and resurrection, forgiveness of sins and eternal life are freely offered to all who believe.
